* Polaris Project Monthly Seminar 2010 "You Know Human Trafficking?"
The ninth seminar at The Body Shop Shinjuku on Saturday, February 26

The February Polaris Japan seminar will focus on the much discussed issue of
child pornography in Japan. Child pornography is child sexual exploitation, which is
one form of human trafficking.

The ninth seminar will invite professor Akihiko Morita, former PR manager
of Unicef Japan who has been tirelessly working for anti-child
pornography law in Japan. We will discuss child porn, violence against
children, issues and directions forward.

Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol of filing individual
complaints for violation of the rights of children.

on "Dating Violence and Sexual Exploitation."

Feb 4 Polaris Japan spoke at the Immigration Bureau, Ministry of Justice,
on human trafficking

From January 1st to 31st 2011, Polaris Project Japan received 26 traffcking inquiries.
Among the 26 contacts, 7 were by phone and 19 were by Internet.
