Currently, Polaris Project Japan is looking for volunteers in the following areas.
Note: All volunteer opportunities require Japanese fluency and are for a minimum of 6 months. We also ask that potential volunteers attend a volunteer orientation session prior to applying (see below for more information):

Social Media Manager
We are looking for people who can use social networking sites (SNS) like Facebook, twitter, and mixi to educate people about human trafficking in our society and to spread the news about PPJ's activities. A small commitment each day can make a big impact!

Web Programming
PPJ's website is filled with information and different features, including social media, a blog, information in multiple languages... We are looking for people who can help us to develop our web page and for people who can help regularly update it, using a Joomla! customized template. We are also looking for someone to help develop our "SOS Site for Girls" page. Requirement: skills and experience in CMS, PHP, Perl, Javescript, SQL, Joomla! etc.

Campaign Team
We plan and manage various projects to raise awareness of human trafficking situations in Japan. This may be a great opportunity to learn more about the issue and our projects. This position requires business to native level Japanese skills.

Event Flyer Design
We are looking for people who can create layouts and designs, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Requirement: ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Other Professional
We would love to hear new ideas and how your skills can be applied to our projects. We believe that many special knowledge, technology, know-how, and experience are valuable and can be utilized for our mission.  We are looking for professionals who have experience in law, accounting, public relations, management and more.  

Translation (especially Korean, Chinese, Spanish, Indonesian, and Tagalog)
Currently, Polaris Project Japan is looking for volunteers who can assist in public relations activities and in creating outreach materials in various languages for our foreign clients in Japan.

Volunteer Orientation Session
The next volunteer orientation session will be held on the same day as our regular seminars. The schedule for 2011 seminar can be downloaded from here: The volunteer orientation sessions start at 3:15 pm, followed by our seminar at 4:00.
