in this fall!

* Polaris Project Monthly Seminar 2011 "You Know Human Trafficking?"
The fourth seminar at Body Shop Shinjuku on Saturday, September 10

You wouldn't want to miss our September seminar as it will be the last
of the first half Polaris Monthly Seminar series in 2011.

The forth seminar in September will focus on sex education as
prevention of human trafficking.
We will welcome Dr. Shinya Iwamuro, known as an "expert of condoms"
and discuss what we can do for prevention.

Polaris Project Japan has openings for fellows in fall 2011.
Working in a small NGO like Polaris Japan will make you leaders
of our activities, allowing much deeper involvement than interning
for a company.

If you are passionate about combating human trafficking, if you dream
about working for an NGO, or if you want to discover new inner self--
please apply!

We will hold an information session for those who are interested
in volunteering or in fellowship on Saturday, September 10, starting
at 3:15pm, before the monthly seminar, at the Body Shop Room,
the third floor of Body Shop Shinjuku.

July 22  Attended the annual Contact Point Meeting for Trafficking in
Persons hosted by National Police Agency.
Police departments, women's centers, immigration office, and
NGOs across the nation came together to share information.

Third Seminar ""What Causes the Demand for Human Trafficking?"

August 26  Fujin Koron Magazin, a well-know women's magazine in Japan
hosted a discussion between Polaris Project Japan and
Dr. Kunio Kitamura of Japan Family Planning Association
Clinic on approval on the morning-after birth control pill.
The discussion started with why it took so long for Japanese
government to approve the pill, covering girls, sexual
violence, and contraception Polaris Japan has encountered,

From July 1 to August 28, 2011, Polaris received xx hotline inquiries.
