<The New Year’s Campaign>
While Christmas and New Years lift our spirits up, suppressed victims
of human trafficking are
still unable to voice their conditions.
In 2008, the number of NGO and Police confirmed cases of human
trafficking declined.
However, we suspect that it is getting more difficult for victims to
seek help from NGOs and Police.
Public grants and your individual donation sustain activities of
Polaris Project. We would truly
appreciate your continued support for outreaching to isolated victims
of human trafficking
and letting them know of the Polaris Project’s help.

Additional Notes=============================================================
On the last month’s Polaris Post, we had asked for your participation
in the United Nations Development Fund
for Women’s (UNIFEM) Say 'NO' to Violence against Women: 1 million
signature campaign, and on November 25,
5,066,549 signatures were handed to the UN Secretary General, which
greatly exceeded
the original goal for 1 million signatures. Thank you for your help!
We are grateful for Polaris Project’s grassroots supporters’ help this year!
We would appreciate your continued support next year as well.
We wish you the best new years!
